Kelly Katterhagen, in partnership with several former investment banking colleges, has founded BlackArch Partners, LP.  BlackArch is a boutique investment bank focused on serving the merger and acquisition, capital and other advisory needs of private, middle market companies.  Katterhagen serves a Managing Director of the organization.  She has been a Women Executives member since 2002 and has served on the Women Executives for Community Service Board since 2006.

Linda Bain McKinney, CPC, CTS, President of Charlotte-based McKinney Personnel Inc., is the recipient of the North Carolina Association of Staffing Professionals (NCASP) Hall of Fame Award for 2010. Recognized for her exemplary leadership and contributions, McKinney was chosen from over 300 staffing professionals for this annual award.  She has been a member of Women Executives since 1976.

Women Executives member Gianna Manes has been appointed Chief Customer Officer at Duke Energy.  In her new role, Manes is responsible for all customer interactions, billing services, energy efficiency and the smart grid initiative.  Manes has been a member of Women Executives since 2007.

Women Executives members Sandra Meyer and Betty Trautwein recently participated in the 2010 Director Diversity Initiative (DDI) program at the University of North Carolina.  DDI is sponsored by the UNC School of Law in conjunction with the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation. The objective of the Initiative is to encourage boards of directors of public companies to increase their gender, racial and ethnic diversity. The Initiative works to identify prospective directorial candidates, provide training to ensure candidates' success and to align candidates with public companies seeking to increase the diversity of their corporate boards.

Women Executives members Stephanie Counts, Dee Dixon, Belva Greenage, Bridget-Anne Hampden, Linda Lockman-Brooks and Alisa McDonald were among those recognized by Pride Magazine in its feature titled "51 Most-Powerful Women."  The publication profiled African-American women recognized as "having the greatest impact on the Charlotte Community" in its March/April 2010 issue.

Women Executives is pleased to recognize the following members of Leadership Charlotte's Class XXXI:  Dawn Newsome, Lori Pappert, Marty Viser, Carol Hardison and Judy Wishnek. The mission of Leadership Charlotte is to develop and enhance volunteer community leadership by providing a diverse group of emerging and existing leaders with the opportunity to increase their community knowledge, civic network, and service to the community. Women Executive members Natalie English, Pat Crull, Sue Gorman and Nancy McNelis currently serve on the Leadership Charlotte Board of Directors. Leadership Charlotte's Executive Director is Elizabeth McKee, a Women Executives member since 2009.

Women Executives member Pam Dittloff was awarded First Place in the Charleston Art Guild (CAG) juried Signature Art Show.  CAG is dedicated to serving the Arts Community of Charleston by providing educational opportunities for artists, photographers, collectors and the general community.  The Signature Show is an annual event that is open to all artists in South Carolina.

Wendy Laxton has started Charlotte-based Laxton CFO Services. The organization provides financial and operational strategy solutions to growing and reorganizing businesses and non-profits. In addition to providing leadership and oversight for accounting and finance departments, Laxton CFO works with companies on a project basis to improve accounting information and reporting systems. Clients include The Ivey and the Charlotte Museum of History, among others.

Natalie English, Senior Vice President of the Charlotte Chamber, has been named the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) 2010 Community Service Award Winner by the Charlotte Chapter.
